dronez4 Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Right so i got a problem with my computer that i cant seem to fix Everytime i turn my computer on theres a fullscreen command prompt bla bla bla that shows something about my CPU fan: I've noticed that my fans stop working and it starts to get overheated so my whole computer shuts down <<< thats one problem Every few hours my computer screen turns purple/green/black/blue and all the colours of my active application is fuzzed like fuck and my whole computer freezes and stays like that. Right so my vga cable is kinda fucked atm i have to have the computer open so i my vga cable can connect round the side of the computer, i have ordered a new vga cable I'm thinking there may be a one solution to all of this and it may be just the fans? but i may be wrong? any ideas people? its starting to get annoyed because i start up my computer, come on teamspeak and an hour later my computer either freezes completely or shuts down
PixelBitZombie Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Have you actually tried to remove the fans and clean out the computer? I had to do this last night and saved me around 4-7c. I can only imagine what yours might look like. If anything, re-install windows as it's possible you may have a virus.. Possibly... but I doubt it.
H0n3ybadg3r Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 The monitor messing up is the cords, the fan is most likely lots and lots of dust or just a broken fan, If you have a build up of dust it can kill a computer.
ice187dna Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Sounds like a graphics card problem... but I could be wrong. Hook up an external monitor to your computer and see if the display on that monitor is having the same issues. If it is still the same way, you know it is the graphics card and not the monitor. Download a program called whocrashed.exe. When you install it run it and set it so that it will run straight after your pc crashes. Option one: let your pc crash naturally then run the program and it will tell you exactly what is wrong with your pc and the causes of it and what to do to fix it. (Recommended) Option two: try to crash your pc manually then do the same as option one. (not recommended but it does work, but it may not give you the correct issues which are causing the pc crash in the first place). Hope that helps, if not then I'm out of options. 1
Joetorp Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 When you say fans, how many? Are you saying they all quit at the same time, (even the cpu fan)? If so, maybe a power problem, Could be power supply or the 26 pin connector (you could remove and put it back on). Joe
WNxH3adSh00t Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Try searching 'PC crashes with random colors', could give solutions lol I've had this issue on my old PC that I haven't opened for years, it's something with the video card. All my shit was turning pink. And about the fan, you should really clean it or try to unplug and plug it back, make sure it's fixed well. If it overheats then you should change the thermal paste on your CPU.
BeerBaron Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Every few hours my computer screen turns purple/green/black/blue and all the colours of my active application is fuzzed like fuck and my whole computer freezes and stays like that. Sounds like something that happened to me when I burned out my gfx card. From what you've said I think you need to replace the processor, heat sink, motherboard, power supply, gfx card. On the bright side, your RAM is probably ok! 2
bad2gurlz Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I have the same problem with my lappy. Cleaned it and re-installed windows but it got even worse now it takes 45 mins just to open chrome or any other folder it's gotten so slow that to just write a sentence it takes 10 min.
shaitan Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 If that pic on ts was your PC, then clean the hell out of it. Don't pull a jks and vacuum it though.
Joetorp Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Btw the dust and vga cable were the issues. How do you know? Did you talk with dronezs?
H0n3ybadg3r Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 He talked with us and showed us a pic of the inside of his computer, Dust was in piles everywhere and there were ashes in it aswell, fire waiting to happen.
