Nuke/Ion bug

I've noticed recently (past few days) that planting an ion cannon beacon or nuclear strike beacon caused my ping to spike to 1000 for about 15 seconds. I think this has been occurring on all of the maps for me, at least all of the redux maps.
I've also heard that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

Any ideas as to what may be causing it?

There's zero point in making a topic of it, noone reads them anyway. It might be common causes of shai *facedesking* recently. There was a slew of illegal beacons last week when I made that script, wanted to give the mods an easier time of looking if required.

It shouldn't take that long to check without the screenshots, and it's already stopped me from killing multiple buildings. Can we remove the script please?

The reason we want it removed is that it consumes upload for our laggier players. Makes them d/c. And that's bad!

It's not going to act as a deterrent when nobody knows what's happening. You should reconsider the costs and benefits, it's a slight aid, but it harms innocent players.

Looking at Beer's ss, I would have reported that particular ledge ion to him 3 seconds after he disarmed it. I'm sure we could imagine up cases where the ss system does save a building from dying when it shouldn't. Surprising then, as Beer said, that moderators hadn't figured it out.

I'm not laggy, I just have a slow upload speed right now. But yes, it does cause a player or two to actually disconnect, which is really bad- it could drive them away from the server or..

The irony of you guys still posting is that I'd removed those script lines(time.mrc script) on the 9th. But...go on about your high pings and blaming the screenshots. :lmfao::evil_laugh1::Evil_Laugh::lmfaox2:

Meh, I hadn't played much between then and making that long post. Anything else is unrelated to whenever you made that change
