thats not a bannable offense if youre out even a little, if i invis 10m into a wall and not even splash can hit me then thats abusing a glitch

but if im just randomly strafing and you cant hit me because you shoot too late instead of predicting then its not my fault

What trist said. There is too much of a discrepancy in what is invisihugging and what's not because renegade's net code is so shit every person looks different to every other person in the server.  On my screen you may be invisihugging but on someone elses you haven't even left the wall and then someone else sees you ten feet out from the wall.  Who even knows.

You can also use the Space bar to trote, like the shift key, and it's still invising.

First off you can invis hug without crouching/shifting. Second it's not your decision what's a bannable offense and what isn't. Quit trying to exploit rules and follow them. Trying to argue the definition of a term is what makes rules change. You really think we're going to be like "oh that's just a mild invis hug because his elbow was out for point 0.01 seconds"? We better stop telling not to invis and apologize for being bad mods. No. Just play the game, follow the rules to the servers definition; not your own, and stop whining.

If you're getting questioned by multiple people about your hugging there is probably an issue. If you are going to accuse staff of invising then please provide proof and it will be dealt with in a much harsher manner than if a regular player were to do it.

I'm being questioned by the same people despite having no issues with other mods and players, and usually its that 1 player in the entire game that accuses me

noone else sees it but him/her, im not invising anymore, any active player can vouch for that

Give yourself like one second between moving from the wall, before moving back to it and you should be good, as long as you are fully exposed and the other player can fight back.

I try anthrax, I don't even normal hug anymore, maybe once every few games but I am usually at the middle of the field/tunnel away from walls

lololololol... Joined again last night after about 1 Year not playing just to get accused of invis after 2 mins ingame. ~160 ping here,get used to european players and their way of playing, its not invis, the server connection just is bad for us,thx.
