Regarding monthly Prizes

Just a suggestion...

Prizes shouldnt be given out to those who have the most Points in the End. Those with much more Freetime just pointwhore the shit out of a Map. Basically u cant compare in this competition if you are regulary working or doing other things that take time, even tho u want to be part of it. Can we get another Goal at the End where the winners get a prize for?

Most kills, most vehicle kills, most building kills, best KD, best repair points. You get the drift. Brenbot keeps record of that stuff, so it can be checked at the end easy.

With the KD one especially, if there's any cheaters that get caught, their stats get erased.

There are many different ways you can reward players for their frequency playing in our server. The main point as Shai said was to get players in the server. Someone sitting in the server "point whoring" as you all put it is still someone playing in our server.

Next, if you think they are just no skill Point Whores, go stop em. I dare ya. Seriously, show me a true n00b who can pw against good players on any map. Those that think point whores have no skill are really the ones that don't have any. Sorry if that offends anyone, but I know what it takes to pw and it takes skill against good players.

We aren't talking about someone in a server with 4 people. We talking about RC that has 30+ in it and the 3 we just rewarded are all around badass players that have a full game (repairing, tanking, "all worker's as you put it"). But your saying Geeti and Des are just ones that hold down a button to perm fire. Again I say get in a tank and go get them, I dare ya. I will watch you get owned.

Lol point whoring takes some skills cus you have to keep your tank alive. If you can point whore and only lose at least 1-3 arts/lights - med/mrls in 30 mins then I'll say that's pretty awesome.Pt whores usually are the ones that keeps your base alive, attempts to stop rushes if the enemy team trys to and limit the enemy chances to win. Once you seal the deal on field, that is when the rest of your team snipes the shit out of anyone attempting to infantry rush threw tunnels.

Point whoring is somewhat part of the strategy in the game. I'll credit those people cus of course its not easy to do but also boring too. Although, most point whores that I see usually kills a building and then they go do something else.

Most of the times, people blame arty-whores for doing their job. Which is totally wrong. It's the enemy team that fails to stop the pointwhoring. When I play Field, I really make sure the arties don't reach the WF spot. Else you'll have a hell of a time getting the field back as GDI. 1 guy that pointwhores = 1 enemy that has to repair = 1 less guy that can buy a tank = more time for your team to organise a rush or conquering the Field.

Whilst I agree that we should give prices every month to something else than having the most "pointwhore" points, I do not agree that pointwhoring barely contributes to the team.

Actually people who snipe contribute a lot in a game, we keep the saks/havocs off the mrls/artys.. We also kill all the hotties and techs repairing each of the vehicals. We also keep your vehicals alive when you decide to point whore. And controlling the tunnles is just as important as controlling the field.

I was following the trend in this thread whereby if you play ren, you're not contributing anything to anyone. I both pointwhore and snipe, so either way, I'd be attacking the a style of playing that I use, and I'll happily apologise if anyone took offense to those words, reading back, I could have phrased it a lot better.

Pretty much every fourth post in this thread has said that the prizes will be mixed up every time, rewarding different styles of playing

Then we tell him we do not plan on the reward being for the same thing every time which answers his initial post. But he keeps on arguing and saying the same thing. DJ has had an issue with me since he 1st showed up at st0rm. I never saw or heard of him before that. He hasn't liked me from day 1 when he showed up. He can't point to one single thing I ever did to him to cause that. (I welcome a reason) I know when he initially lost it when we let him lead us in a Community War and afterward no one ever wanted him to lead again. I spoke up and told him the truth that he did suck, maybe from this point forward is when his hate developed. In any case I have accepted DJ has some kind of extreme jealousy of me for what ever reason and I LOL at it.

Not sure why as I really don't know you, never EVER slandered you like others have for what you have done in Ren, I don't provoke you, I accepted you in this community and pretty much leave you alone. You don't give me reason to come in contact with you. I like you as a person. I just realize in life you are not going to get along with everyone and some may not even like you.
