Allow tunnel beacons on field

Give snipers a purpose and promotes teamwork.

Miss the days of like 6 beacons going off in tunnels and then 15 hotwires in the ref trying to save it. Pretty epic

exactly! epic even to lose as Nod it was probably the best 30 seconds of field where everyone was just like NO FUCKS GIVEN lets see what happens and pray.

I was holding GDI off pretty well for a while. I was the only one on my team with 2000+ points and 5 or so GDI members below me. I gave up and went to dick around with SBH, like everyone else. Too bad weapon pickup was off.

I would've dedicated myself to holding out the field, but I knew the shorter option would be taking the tunnels and doing that ^. Oh well, back on topic.

I don't think !tank command will be removed :( many people depend on it. using !tank should cost 1500 (3000 if Air/WF or PP is dead) for a random vehicle

 

mine limit is all good at 50 (taking into account that the vet system allows you to earn armor and health upgrades + regen). pimp proxy mines are cool

 

If you're going to remove under from the rotation please let it be the original & not the RxD version LOL the silo comes in very handy

 

allow buying other teams weapons (not vehicles, other teams vehicles should be included in the random vehicle selection when typing !tank)

 

add weak repair gun to the engineers dropped item on death, rather than a shotgun :rolleyes:

 

personally I think the server sided sounds are good (killstreaks etc),you could have a second command as was mentioned to turn off all sounds?

the current !disablesounds should just block all user sounds (including !mad sounds)

 

tunnel beacons were epic but annoying on glacier so maybe a special rule for field where tunnel beacons are allowed

 

!bounty < would be fun :thumbsup:

One thing that annoys me whenever I play is the combination of a hotwire/tech and railgun/pic, or occasionally ramjet. This is pretty much the ultimate setup that everyone ends up using once the game has gone on for a while. Sure it's expensive, but on long stalemate games there's plenty of money.

 

I think it hurts game play when everyone is just using the same setup which can do everything: damage, repairs, C4, only losing 50 health over a tier 3 character. Not a jack of all trades, but a master. Different characters don't really have a specific role anymore, you can just do whatever with anyone.

 

My suggestion is to add some restrictions on what weapons can be picked up. The way I had it on BC was that hotwires/techs/engineers could only pick up free and tier 1 weapons, and that repair guns weren't dropped by anyone.

 

I'm sure some people would complain, but it's the same as disallowing SBH from picking up weapons: it's fun if you're the one doing it, but in the end it really fucks up the game balance.

 

My suggestion from a while back. Or just remove the weapon commands.

1. Add nuke death crate.

2. Add a 10 min time limit on the usage of !madsounds.

3. Remove repetition of maps in rotation.

4. !tank should cost thrice the price of the tank.

5. This one is not a suggestion but a bug report, when suddendeath is on, instead of making buildings unrepairabl, it just blocks the function of rep gun; you cant even disarm mines or repair your tanks.

6. Additional shells should be enabled ( mammys/stanks ) or they are disabled altogether.

7. Donation time limit at the start of the map should be lowered i.e. 120 secs.

8. Doing suicide ( !killme ) doesnt drop the weapons.

9. Vet points should be made harder to earn or a new level should be introduced.

10. Sbh's are unable to pick pimp weps.

Tunnel beacons are allowed, as long as they do not damage any buildings, and as long as the "fakes" aren't spammed enough to tick people off.

4. It does cost 3x. Light tank = 1800/Medium tank = 2400. When the power is down, it's double those amounts.

10. They should be(only gravgun was taken out for everyone), unless somebody was editing that again, which I will remove. *And someone did.*

My point of tunnel beacon was killing ref. Promotes teamwork, gives purpose to snipers in rencorner (and because everyone has a ramjet or railgun in rencorner allowing ref tunnel beacon seems more fitting since nobody puts tanks in the field). Makes for an epic finish as pyro's video shows. I don't think anyone gives a fu*k that they can beacon in the tunnel if it doesn't hit anything!? :angry2:

Change the names of Canyon and Complex. Canyon looks more like a complex and Complex looks more like a canyon.

My suggestion is that tanks should be automatically destroyed or disappear when the owner of the tank leaves. Because of my faulty ethernet port, I've been disconnecting a lot lately and I realized that everytime I disconnect enemies keep stealing my tanks. It's not just me. Everytime a player loses connection in field their tank gets stolen by enemy. I think it would be better if they disappeared along with their owners.

Loving the new bounty feature too, endless fun with that, nice work.

 

One thing I think that should be changed with it is that there shouldn't be a time limit for them to expire.
