I am hopeful now things can change.  Thx

Ok just my actual point of view: You get q-kicked for something after being warned, come back, say you dont agree with it, and continue playing, making sure you don't do it again.

I'm sure you can play the game with other people doing stupid things, because that's what happens all the time.

I massed arts. Zeph kept moving them to the base entrance, out of the line ect...trolling me basically. I told him to stop or i would kick he refused, I !Qkicked.  thats it... anyone who wanted to actually fight with the tanks could, i didn't care but Zeph was not fighting he was trolling me.  Keep in mind WE WON THE MAP. any one else who wanted to buy a tank could because the would be put in the Line to buy tanks. and when did it become a rule you have to announce your plans to mass? Zeph trolling me was poor judgement. i think that about covers it all... any questions?

You can't qkick someone for moving your Arties. I don't know what would make you think that is an acceptable reason.

he was moving them close to base entrance so they could get stolen easier.....is that a good reason?

I'm not asking any questions. I am telling you that you are wrong. I am telling you that you shouldn't have kicked him. I am telling you that you shouldn't be using your moderator powers to amuse you and your buddies on teamspeak. I am telling you this once. Only once. Respect the server. Respect the players. Respect the game.

Also you owe a sincere apology to Zephryn.

Chris,

Can you explain this?

http://pastebin.com/e7ZfjRvA

You bought 46 arties within 30 mins. I don't see any logs of you saying lets mass arties. You just kept buying arty after arty. And it looks like you had a little help from d4rkz donating you money so you could keep buying arties.

I'm not surprised that Zephryn got annoyed. Nod was basically down 2 players the whole time and to me that looks like you were team hampering.

And you kicking Zephryn is poor judgement.

It wasn't only him that got annoyed, I also happened to !noob his ass all the way because I was trying to get a buggy for driving my sak w/ beacon to the GDI base and everytime I tried I got in the veh queue 3/3. This being said, it is completely TH because it won't let other players to actually 'play' and end the goddamit map. F*** that.

New way of playing, there's going to have to be new regulations made. So, calm down April.

After speaking with Volcom, Shaitan, and Manuel I have come to realize I was wrong. I let my personal feelings effect the way I used my moderator powers. I was trying to get screen shots and you moving them messed it up. I realize the server isn't my personal playground and moving forth I will put the players and the server first. I am sorry Zephryn. It won't happen again.

I thought this would be included in current regulations; it seems pretty clear to me that it was the wrong course of action by chris.

What should be considered is letting buildings go in timed games, for example in Field. Take a game I played yesterday, where there were 3 minutes left and GDI were 3000 points ahead with Nod sieging the WF. I explained to the players that were repairing why they should let it go, but they didn't- which I considered th, but I didn't act upon it for a few reasons.

Actually, can we just have personal AoW training to get everyone up to speed quickly?

Sorry for the off-topicness.

No, with those no-shells it will cause problems as it already is. The massing is a touchy subject for people: you don't fuck with masses...not unless it is a situation where things are being stolen.

I appreciate the eventual apology from Chris and finally telling the truth as to what he was doing.  I do not appreciate the statements that I was not defending the base, taking arties to get stolen, and even trolling him.

I had given arties to 2 defenders at the front of the base, as we were being attacked at that moment and even with repairs their vehicles were being destroyed.  I was warned while in a 3rd arty, and it had only been moved about 3 feet when I got out then I was kicked.  When I got back in I saw that others started moving vehicles a few feet either way and I watched as he frantically realigned them.  I was told again to stop or I would be kicked, and I asked “why?” as I was not doing anything.  I saw what looked like a failed/misspelled command by him with my name in it and I left the game.  I had already been kicked once without reason and was afraid I could be bannned without reason, after he made a statement that he could have just banned me.

I got back on for a while last night after creating this post and kindly asked who had booted me and if I could know if there was a reason I was missing.  I was taunted several times with "Quit whining" and others.  I was also talked to directly in this manner, which I did not respond to.  This clan refused to heal or repair me for the duration of the game.  After the first few minutes of this, I was asked if I wanted to join their clan.  I just responded with "No, I do not."  There were a few comments after this also.  I tried to swap to the other team and after being unsuccessful; I just tried to avoid any of this clan's members. One in a while one would run past and yell, "Quit you’re whining."

Is this o.k. behavior by a moderator?  The kind of behavior a moderator is supposed to be discouraging?  Goofing around using up the limit of tanks and hoarding the supply when the base is under attack?  Kicking players for not being able to take screen picas and for speaking up? Then defending his actions and lying about what actually happened?  Telling and supporting his clan in harassing this player after the fact in a new game?

If a player gets bored of the game and likes to take up space on a team and goof around hindering the others, should that kind of person be a moderator?  If they have the tendency to lie about what happened instead of just admitting what they did?  If they take part in threats, taunts and kicking for personal reasons, and taking part in so many things that they are supposed to be enforcing do not happen in games, is this person a good person for the job?

If you need to see proof of last night's stuff, I did not write the time down but I think I did get in almost immediately after my last post here.  No, it was not harassment for the whole game but I still do not think these actions by this clan are acceptable, when someone simply wants a better understanding of why they were kicked.  I did nothing wrong to begin with, and did not insult or even taunt a single one of them.  In the future if I hear anything from other players who complain about your server I will strongly encourage them to come here and report details with proof.  Maybe this will stop happening.

To be clear about why I am so passionate about this issue...I have mentored over 15 teenage boys at my computer store.  I am trying to set an example about being respectful to others while still standing up for yourself and not just allowing mistreatment of others (especially in positions of authority) to continue. When you do nothing, this sends a message that this behavior is acceptable.  Just standing aside also allows others to be treated unfairly after you.

Because your server does not have some of the more complicated stuff on it like building turrets or extra characters and other things that you need to know how to use and defend against, this is the server that most young people are exposed to.  This is also the server that has the most cursing and insults thrown around, as well as game hindering and now even moderators who are allowed to take part in all of it.

Moderators like this should lose their position.  Individual players that harass (bay any means) excessively should be discouraged, and if the behavior persists then booting and even banning should happen.  Those who regularly goof around and get in the way of the actual gamers should also get warnings and they don’t grow up after a while, then kicking should happen.  If you are on a clan, you should expect certain respected behavior of your members.  If a specific clan is known for taking part in harassment and not discouraging it, then they should be talked to.  The OSTK Clan does not have a good rep right now, perhaps just because of 2 members, but why are the other members then not discouraging this behavior?

Thanks for listening and for all the support I have been given by other players who have similar concerns. If you need further proof of ongoing behavior like this, my boys have volunteers to start taking screenshots of this kind of stuff when they see it.  (We have seen similar abuses in the past.)  Though, if changes do not take place, when there IS proof, and now even admissions of what is really happening, then I am also encouraging them to be o.k. with avoiding servers that are difficult to play on. “Always try to stand up for yourself respectfully, but if it turns out that the system itself is flawed, then look for a new system.”  I should have made similar complaint a lot earlier, but instead, I just went to a different server immediately when weird things happened.  I will try to be a better example for my guys in the future.

Respectfully,

Zephryn

Lol no. You can't just force strategies on people; even if they are good ones.

I will respond to this tonight but short answer is: Your complaint seems to be more with OSTK than with Rencorner. We are not the same thing. Also this is the internet. I think you need to remember that. I will have a lengthy reply tonight.

Yenxa, D4rX,

You're not helping yourselves here.

You should be posting apologies to Zephryn, not laughing about what you did.
