BeerBaron Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I've been using an old skool computer with a Pentium 4. Not long ago it was damaged and I replaced it with another Pentium 4. The replacement runs alot cooler and wont malfunction and stop processing when overburdened but goes at about 60% the speed of the original. I thought it might be the mobo I put in so I tried putting the original processor back in and it runs at the normal speed I was expecting until eventually fkn up again. Can anyone tell me why 2 of the exact same processors run so differently?
Veteran Admin Guard Posted November 10, 2015 Veteran Admin Posted November 10, 2015 One probably had coke poured on it, happens everytime... tut tut I hope my reason was useful.
warlord83 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 A it might be missing some kind of driver update or comparability issue. B Either it's a slower processor or C it's not communicating to your ram properly.
Joetorp Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Are they exact, they may be different. Go to Intel and look at the specs, it should be archived.
