Random Vehicle Crate Bug

When you get this crate you cannot leave where ever the vehicle is going to be dropped off eventually killing you as it lands on top of you. I am sure y'all know of this but figured I would formalize it by putting it here in the forums.

It's totally intended. It is meant to scare off people to get crates.

it seems like it only happens on certain maps..

Like field this doesn't happen to me but on glaciour it does.

Tested it on field with Destroyer and Shai for a bit,

Order !tank on GDI then it explodes mid-air and leaves no shell.

It happens on Field, happened to me a week or so ago. It is a crate glitch so in theory it should effect all maps. Just may not be happening all the time....

I agree. Especially since we can !tank. Only down side is when ref is gone and everyone is broke. It was teh sux when it happened to me I had a ton-o-weapons and we needed it!

K I disabled it until the issue can be sorted. I see no real need for vehicle crates when we have the "!tank" command anyways.

when you updated the server to rc1 did you update the GDICRATE.txt and NODCRATE.txt in the data folder. That should fix it but not sure.

When the crate teleports you to back of WF (Assuming GDI) it doesn't allow you to move from the position it teleported you to so standing under it is inevitable :/

It was the !tank command that we tested and got destroyed everytime on field.

Not sure If Shaitan looked into it or not sorry.

If you keep backpedalling until the vehicle has dropped you're fine, still is a bit annoying though.

There are two different things happening here. Experienced both:

(1) As Mikey said, when you get the vehicle crate you are teleported and frozen until the nice tank comes and squishes you.

(2) When you !tank the transport drops the tank which immediately explodes, goes into a shell, then blows up. IRC does NOT log this event. This happened to me last night on Complex.
