Not sure of the exact parameters. Overall I'd say only about 10 people actively use the squad system on a regular basis (me being one of them). Don't really see any problem with it with the way it's configured with the above parameters. Sure, if you could make a 4vs4 a squad then what would be the point, but I believe in a 4vs4 you can't even make a squad. The system scales to the number of players. The squad system really just shows who is working together on a team. Even if you couldn't see it, they'd still be working together. Also, honestly, most of the time I form a squad it doesn't last for more than 2 maps anyway (oftentimes it doesn't last beyond the map in which I joined the squad, so it didn't actually affect what team I was on). The main bonuses are: you're instantly aware of what your teammate has purchased, you can coordinate without discussion, or just be aware that they're in-base or have died. That.
crushu06 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 On a full serious note squads shouldn't be allowed in under 10 player count. Simple as that. Now for the story when the server count is 10 its probably 3 out of 5 people on 1 team that are on a squad who actually know what they are doing vs 4 random idiots and Jez on the other team. So his team probably lost a building in the first 30 seconds then 2 of his random idiots left the game and it became a 3 vs 5 for his team. n00bstories TS stacker flashbacks all over again!
BeerBaron Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 You could just sacrifice your personal glory and tech for your teammates. Cant tell you how many games I've won simply because I repaired the tank in the front. 2

mdogg1108 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I don't see any reason to get rid of squads. The only reason I use it is to play with my friends. For example, glors only plays on the weekends and we always squad up to play on the same team. It would be pretty beat for him to be on the other team the entire time. I don't think squads affect the game as much as some of you guys think. btw, jet fuel... steel beams
AnThRaX Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 "Squads" are the number 1 selling point of video games in the last ten years. Call of Duty halo gears of war Counterstrike etc wouldn't sell 95% of what they do if you couldn't team up with your friends so I really don't see much of a problem.

I believe the #1 selling point of video games is large animated breasts. 1

Whitedragon Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Squad size is capped at 5 or a third of the current players, whichever is smaller. Squadmates are teamed together, multiple squads are put on opposite teams. Squads will be broken up to even the teams if necessary. The 1st would be team a, the 3rd as well, etc. The 2nd team b, the 4th as well, etc. Hence the players with most points would be split up. It already works like this for players not in squads. 1
