StJohn Gumby Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 You sound pissed bud. PM me if you need to vent. Gumby
miatachris90 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 ts.rencorner was down so was ts3.ren i think but ts4 was up
ice187dna Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Still need a meeting though. What is best day for most people????????
Joetorp Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 With the way things are going, we should meet when teamspeak is up.
shaitan Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 I love how you guys are fixated on teamspeak not being up at that time. Every ddos, they have to be turned off/on by one of us(myself and sithis mostly) when it's done, per machine. That was never an issue.

Shai, How are we to know you can turn on ts when you want to, I must have missed something... All I saw was ts was down! I'd love to know how we can stop this, find out who is doing it by his/her ip address, and ddos the fucking shit out of him/her, FOREVER!!! I'd love to disable their bodily functions so he/she is too busy shitting to get off the pot to do anything malicious. My contempt for this person goes beyond being civil. All this interruption makes it nearly impossible for us admins to do our job! So imo, whatever it takes to return back to normal is the way to go. If you need a donation to go to another host that has anti-ddos software, I'll donate. We are beyond the point of it takes too much work to switch. Just get a box and put TS and irc on it and leave the servers on the 64 box where they are. We need to be able to communicate, and be able to log the games in it's entirety, uninterrupted! Joe 1
pmac1922 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 not only that but when new players come in and see we are constently being shut down and have to restart servers to put them back to irc or to fix issues they don't come back I have noticed quite a few new players come on stay for a day see we are having issues and I haven't seen them back its going to affect our numbers drastically I for one would like to find out who this guy is and teach him a lesson too I know its hard to have a meeting with people working but maybe we should find a time when majority has time and record it for people to listen to what we are doing and then they can post their input 1
shaitan Posted March 20, 2016 Author Posted March 20, 2016 Ovh supposedly had the best, you see how well that's worked out on the 192. pc we rented. Teamspeak is still "running" each time an attack occurs, but we need to restart them each time so people can get in. You can on the 64. pc,
miatachris90 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 should we join by ip or for example ts4.recorner.com? dose it matter?
Volcom Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 it doesn't matter. The domain wont work if the website is down though.
DrSithis Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 We've discussed some numerous options and I have mixed feelings about it all. I've also got a few things we can try. 2
Strike Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 i know something we can do to hit me up root, we share some thoughts.
DJEYEK Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 We can also meet on my TS Server for the Meeting if that is interesting for you?
ice187dna Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Perhaps not advertising the day and date of the meeting in public might help so we don't get hit again. 1
Joetorp Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Good thought, that asshole is probably monitoring the forums.
DrSithis Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Make it so people have to register/login to read some of the forums. 1
ice187dna Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Exactly. It's too open, too exposed. Perhaps people should be mindful in what they say to others in other gaming communities too. Knowledge is power. Think safety, think security.
masscarriers Posted March 21, 2016 Posted March 21, 2016 Even then the guy might have an account and still read this. It should have been on the mods forums where most people involved go read anyway.
