Attitude of some

In the spirit of Renegade, which  for the  best part of  6 years since NS  and the other big servers died  is a  game which  entirely relies upon its existing fan base to extend its life, the attitude of some who probably should be experienced is shocking.

Servers been  up and down  for a while, my son earlier suggested we play for a bit. I was in kitchen, he joined the server on my laptop  a maximum of about 40 seconds before I came back in to find E nudle spouting his mouth off about me being AFK. ' play  the game of fuck off'.

Please dont tell me this guy is a mod for some reason I had this feeling he was. Wouldnt have lasted 5 minutes back in the day.

I dont mind  cursing at all my son cant fully read the  writing yet anyway, although I had to disable sounds its just the   annoying attitude taken towards someone who has introduced half a dozen people to the game and teraching my son how to play... especially when the server has been down and is low on players anyway. Its as if  some people want the game to die.

Nudle isn't a mod, and I believe this wouldn't be acceptable from someone from the team either.

He reads the forums so I guess he'll answer for himself ^^

I know it's a little bit off-topic but is babyfire2 your son or was it someone else's? I think I read it somewhere in forums. If so, can you post a picture of him playing renegade? He plays the game so cutely and noobly. It's adorable (by the way I don't know why but I can't send posts with emoticons)

 Yeah I will do sometime when I remember haha. He has actually improved a lot in the last couple of months.. I kind of encouraged him to play the less competitive news maps server a bit to get used to it. He can actually kill people  occasionally. I let Relativ know he had been killed by a 5 year old the other day! He had this tendancy to suddenly want to leave the game in the middle of a battle and  end up leaving a tank empty as well as suddenly stopping to see what im doing leaving himself open to attack. He doesnt leave his tanks anymore since I told him off. Laws of Renegade and all

I joined to see you standing around doing nothing. Quester had already killed most the barracks, runs straight past you and kills pp.. I raged he ran right past you and you were afk. If you have something to do, go offline.

Play the game or f off.

I searched the logs and he was barely offensive unless he got into it deep with pages. As long as your son's there, he can sit idle all he wants.

This explains so much! Bit of a reality check for a lot us to take it easy when there's someone noobin around.

and you had no idea for how long. As I said he  asked me to play with him and he joined on my laptop for me to play  with him. Must have been about 35-40 seconds maximum, I didnt have anything to do as I  didnt join and then go afk he joined and left me in game  for about 30 seconds before I came out of the kitchen.

He wasnt that offensive its just the principal,  I cant stand raging kids. Not sure what you mean by he can sit idle all he wants? I wouldnt want to sit around idle, but fact in this case was he simply  logged me in joined the game and told me to come play. To which I was about  half a minute, hardly enough time to consider someone afk.

Yeah the game is the game is the game, at the end of the day he  loves the game and we need more players who love the game. Hes not nearly as bad as he was early days, but obviously he  doesnt comprehend the fact there are 'real' people with different emotions in the game yet so other than with me who he can directly see hes not quite got a lot of teamplay elements yet.

 

Theres his ladder  stats, Im pfresed with his kills considering hes so young personally ;-)

my 2 boys play too (5 and 7) they both play differently, the youngest prefers rencorner... hanging around tunnels waiting for a ramjet lol he also reps tanks & tries to tank battle and my other lad likes coop, sla he gets to kill over 100+ enemy so he loves it and exodus he likes to look for secret weapons. keeps them entertained can see my little boy trying to play like daddy is fun
