Did something I've never done in my 13 years of renegade last night.

So I tried to hug someone in the tunnels on Snow with a shotgun engineer in the beginning of the map, and when I peeked around the corner my camera inverted and my dude literally blew his own face off.  It said Tetanus killed himself (Engineer/Shotgun) ... what the fuck?! Has anyone else EVER had this happen? I've had the camera invert and go crazy before because I always hold V but I've never actually blown my own head off before.  I think this might be a renegade first.

The only time i remember killing myself with my own weapon was when I had c4 stuck to my face. When you switch to 1st person, it'll be covering your reticle. So all ur shots hit the c4, which is attached to you. But if your using a repair tool, you can rep yourself

Lol yeah I've had that a couple times. One time many years ago, on an under game, a guy managed to put a mine I have no idea how on top of my jet, in such a way that no matter how or where I aimed, I'd end up hitting the mine. Which damaged me each time that I'd shoot, so of course it was funny being on top of the hill as a sakura killing myself with my own jet. Priceless.

Oh yeah, I forgot how if you have a c4 on you it causes you to hit yourself, I'm wondering if someone landed a c4 on me at the exact second I shot and made it look like I killed myself with just the shotgun. It never even showed up in the IRC logs that it happened, just ingame. :/ Used to have a friend throw a c4 on the side of me when I had a pick-up repair gun so I could repair myself in the field by hitting it.

I didn't break the rules.  If you hold V and you're too close to the wall sometimes the camera turns around on you.

Yep it's rare but does happen, think I've had it like twice maybe.

Killed myself with my own arty splash too before the TT patch fix lol
