AnThRaX Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 So a lot of you have heard about my septoplasty, turbinoidectomy, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, uvulectomy, kidney stones, near death anaphylactic reaction to the meds for kidney stones, impetigo outbreak from the ER for the previous nonsense and how I've been dealing with all of that. But on Saturday I graduated from University with my bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation and now I am hoping to go to grad school for Occupational Therapy. However, Saturday was one of the worst and best days of my life - best obviously because I graduated and got to walk across the stage and snag my diploma from the chancellor which was awesome, worst because I was in quite possibly the worst pain of my life from a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs) and hiatal hernia that I was unaware I had until I got to the hospital on Sunday. I chugged an old bottle of oxycodone I had prior to attending and pretty much slept through the entire ceremony, afterwards everyone in my major wanted to get some last pictures together but I just was trying to dip out ASAP before I died at the ceremony grounds. Now I am giving myself two shots of blood thinners a day in the stomach and also on warfarin. I lost about 1/5th of all the tissue in my lung on the right side due to the blood clot killing it off and have been coughing it up and spitting it out all week, which I guess is still a great alternative to a stroke or death. That being said, these last four months have been by far the worst of my life, I have been accruing illnesses and been placed on medications usually reserved for men in their 60s to 80s. Just wanted to let you all know that if I die suddenly from a heart attack next week or something crazy that I love you all and just wanted to thank you for all the gaming memories you have provided me over the last 10-14 years. -Jesse 1

AnThRaX Posted May 21, 2016 Author Posted May 21, 2016 I appreciate the kind words guys, hopefully I will be around to pester you all for a few years to come yet.
mdogg1108 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Hopefully the enoxaparin injections aren't bruising you up badly, my friend had a bunch of em all over his skin so he would switch up his areas as best he could. Don't forget to get your Coumadin levels checked (INR). Best of luck -- hopefully everything will be just fine 1

warlord83 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Damn sorry to hear that the only one I can personally relate to is the hiatal hernia damn thing has caused anxiety, erratic heart beats and massive abdominal pain. Went to the hospital at least 5 times thinking I was going into cardiac arrest because of damn pain and heart beat issues from my hernia. I hope these issues can be fixed for you soon, best of luck man.
