This is how you play City flying GDI on AOW

After last game, I really think this can help a lot of people. Please note, I wrote this in 2006. It is written for a 4v4 but it's a good basis for any number of players.

- Start: Get soldiers in for the first wave (this is especially true for GDI, who's soldiers do more damage than Nod soldiers), not engies. Then get a few C4s on the harvie (if all survived, harv's going down). Soldiers move to defend the GDI harv while those who died get engineers for the second wave => make sure the enemy harv dies as well as repair your harv.

- Try to get an apc asap in the field. We'll need 1 sniper on bridge (preferably in an apc, red circle on the bridge), 1 apc in field (covering hand side, red arrow on the picture), 1 med in the field (covering air side and killing harv, purple cross at the left) and 1 orca.

- The APC's are drones that keep searching for stanks and other vehicles ofcourse. When they spot them, they call in the orca to help kill them. Later on the apc's can change into meds, depends a bit if Nod changes to lights or not

- The orca and sniper are the main characters in here: the sniper must keep the NOD heli's out of the field and kill possible raveshaws.

In bigger game u'd add an orca and some meds, probably.

From 10 years ago, in terms of teamwork, I'd say it's gone from 8/10 to about 4/10 or lower.

IBTD (in before the Delusion) That's just my opinion. Feel free to ask any other 'oldskool' players.

Gozy was being specific about the best way to play this map in a 4v4 clan war.

Watch this from about 7 mins to 14 mins. This is what Gozy means.

It's a 15 vs 15 n00bless Funwar but the principles are the same.

It was a much more fun game back in 2006. God I miss those days.

Well Apple, what happened is I asked 3 mess 2 orcas and an apc sniper figuring people knew a bit of this stuff. I asked 2 mess to go harv and I went to camp their harv.

3 mins later Barr and pp were destroyed because of a stank rush. The Barr mess had gone up into the field.

oh Gozy , i know what u feel . But sometimes isn't they don't know how to play , is what they want to play lol .

 

yeah , teamwork is every important in this game not only 4v4 or more

The better chances Iv seen in public servers anyway is when gdi apc rushes alot and takes field with orcas/meds. I think the key is to put pressure on so nod cant stank rush ever. For a public match anyway.

today we had an awesome game of city. gdi was doing things right with a med camping on both sides and apc and orcas roaming around. we took out hon with an ion rush up left but then gozy left and stanks got our pp. with hon down they relaxed their defense and 4 of us snuck in to ped, gg.
