DaDuKe Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 I think deadriver is a good map to add to the rotation, its good for tanking, rushing and sniping and it doesnt have any modded stuff. Just a tought 😄Â

Yeah, Nod gets overrunned by mrls and meds from the refinery side and there isn't really any space for stanks to sneak around if GDI is at both entrances, kinda wish there was more space for each entrance or just have one entrance for vehicles and an extra infantry tunnel leading to the bases Edited March 2, 2020 by Forithow
SaltyBiscuit Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I personally think there's a lack of flanking points in this map, which makes it tougher on NOD to push out of their base with tanks and maintain a position out of base. I think most of the good maps that have less flanking points also don't have AGT/Obi. Possibly removing major base defenses from this map would make it more even?Â

The issue has been there since the map was released but did not cause noticeable issue in stock renegade.

Nigeria is more 1-sided imo whit GDI and theire hummers there. I played this map many times and it was great fun, I won whit Nod I think just as much as whit GDI

I played this map many times and it was great fun, I won whit Nod I think just as much as whit GDI Well I think if we play enough games (like 100 games of deth-river) and see the resulting wins to see if it's more GDI sided or vice versa, most maps are usually around 50/50 wins between GDI and Nod except for the occasional few maps like City_Flying, Glacier_Flying and MetroTS

Deth_River 02-23-2020 - Now: GDI=10 wins / Nod=6 wins. These are with skip maps removed and two players or more. shaitan Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 I changed things because it is skewed way towards GDI. The same reasoning we have certain ingame rules per map: to try and make things more fair. I like the map, I like your guys' idea of the map. That won't stop me from removing Deth_River if it is too one-sided. I put those polls up February 23rd, noone voted on Deth for the first three days. What that map needs is those pop-up gates like Snowfight2005 has at both entrances. That would force players to rush inside and be at the mercy of the defenses -or- it'd force them to fight outside of the bases. Either way, it'd stop the problem. If you noticed today how the gameplay went: it was tied without Arties/MRLS. The only reason GDI lost the way they did was the WF was killed. We're not adding DB maps, I want nothing to do with the bullshit that MPF went through.
shaitan Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 From March 6 to now(minus some stats when we ran both marathons): Total games: 79. 2 player games and up: 73 Skipped 7.6%(6/73) GDI: 35 wins(48%) Nod: 38 wins(52%) Way better than the 62.5% GDI wins it used to be pre-arty/mrls removal. P.S. The normal links I send you guys to to look at our stats is not up-to-date. We didn't install another webserver onto this newer PC(but I am still getting the stats in a file). 1
