IA is killing and will kill Ren, why even play?? 

It’s up to the RC community to make Renegade great again:

• Make Ren freeware.
• Have an easy downloader, installer and launcher like IA and RenX do with in-built script updates.
• Support old and new OS.
• Poll it: “Why don't you play Ren anymore?” (e.g. like time constraints, software incompatibility, better games, lag, cheaters, mods, I died, other, all of the above, etc)
• Reach out to old players. I’d love to see some old admins and mods join some time.
• Helpful mods can volunteer to ‘jump start’ the server by sitting afk until people join. Maybe add bots.
• Does RC have active social media / channels?
• Have enforceable no excessive whining/harassing rules to give skilled people a break from constant cheating accusations. Not to be mean, but people won’t join if only noobs are ingame, people join more when good players are playing. They keep the game competitive. This is one of the reasons why MPF emptied, they banned everybody and now they want them back ‘believing in second chances’.
• If you are a skilled player, take a few damn breaks from time to time. This does not mean that you have to leave or go afk. Give others a chance as well. Basic rough-and-tumble play common sense. IA attracts noobs because everybody can be ‘good’ there, away from renegade pros. Let them at least have some chances here.
• Unmute all players unless they keep constantly abusing in F2 or F3 chats. Permamutes are obsolete tbh. I doubt people truly get offended in a game like this. Take a chill pill on the racism stuff that happens privately.
• Let some in-game drama happen as long as it doesn’t get out of hand, otherwise it doesn’t get interesting. Don’t take everything too seriously. Heck, drama is what makes Ren unique. Bring back the !noob command even if it’s bugged and abused, it’s an easy anger outlet and you don’t have to deal with !rm abusers. People only care about new !recs and !rank, not about total !rec stats.
• Allow some more flexibility for custom skins as long as they are not advantage skins. 
• Marathon games collect people, especially maps like Field and Under. IA is thriving because of their long-ass shitty attrition warfare games. 
• Fix rotation to something like this: Field (mara), Islands (mara), Mesa (timed), Volcano (mara), [new map here], Under (mara), Snow_RxD (timed), Glacier_Flying (mara), Canyon (mara), [new map here], Field_RxD (timed), Complex (mara), SiegeDB (timed), Walls (mara), Fjords (timed), Dawn_RaidDB (mara), Sand (timed and not RxD), Field (mara), Islands_RxD (timed), Uphill_RxD (mara), Under_RxD (timed), Canyon_RxD (timed), Hourglass (mara), Volcano_RxD (timed), City_Flying (timed), [new map here], Deth_River (mara), Walls_Flying (timed), BunkersTS (mara)
• Have an in-game poll to select a few new maps to be added? A few suggestions: Creekdale_Flying, Arctic, Cracked, Dust, Bio, Hourglass_FlyingDB, Tomb, Land, Winterfell_b7, Airai, MetroTS, Niagra, Crevasse (short-timed).
• Decrease mine limits in Under and Field maps.
• 7-minute limit for all pimp weapons.
• Remove !tank (except in Deth River), just as you removed the ability to buy weapons.
• Add 1/3 more chances for spy and power down crates.
• New sounds are a good thing IMO, and allowing for more of them and more often can entertain some people. Also, fix !disablesounds so it remembers the settings next time you join (this is helpful for people who don’t want to listen to that crap).
• I do think community events are a good thing, having one every other month wouldn’t hurt. It communicates to base players that the staff is still caring and involved.
• Fix hon bug.
• Change the “Are you sure you want to Quit to Desktop?” message to “Are you sure you want to Ragequit you lil bitch?”. 
• Ban British players who are not staff.
• Ban Magikarp
• Add despacito.mp3 to the jukebox.

I want Renegade in 2021 pls

I thought the remastered RTS games would bring in a spike of old time players. I was wrong. Everyone needs to work together to keep this game alive, every website, server, community, etc. 
Except IA. It's a mod, it's not Renegade and needs to isolate itself. Unfortunately, more people leave Renegade to play that.

I agree trunks, i see it ironic that mods like RenX and IA pretend to be keeping the Renegade community alive when they are in not even real Renegade, and in fact have been systematically drawing players away from the real thing.
