Kindly requesting a rule clarification

Hello Mates,

I would like to get some clarification on the so-called "e-shooting" glitch.

This is the server rule:

  • No more of the jumping out of your vehicle and firing trick. This means pressing E at the same time as firing for a double shot(tank + Rail/Pic = illegal). APC/Buggy/Humvee/Heli/SSM are allowed!

This is actually news to me; I never knew pressing E at the same time as firing a PIC/Rail from within a vehicle will give this double damage! I find this very abhorrent and disgusting.

I was given a gentle reminder by mud to not do this. After reading this rule, it's not what I was doing at all on Under last night.

How about legitimately using a PIC/Rave char with a Med/Light tank? Is that also not allowed? Because that's what I was doing.

I really hope these are two different things, no?

What I am talking about is jumping out of the tank completely during a fight, acquire the targeted vehicle with PIC/Rail and fire off the shot, jump back in. Sometimes this shot is the last killing blow to destroy the enemy vehicle and win the fight. Taught to me by Spoony years back.

Obviously not the same as that vile despicable "e-shooting" glitch. If this is also not allowed, please let me know so I stand corrected.

Thanks as always!

That's what the rule is meant to stop.

You can use apc's/buggies/humvees/choppers with pic/rav, because those do not do the same thing.

OK cool beans.

Question: how about the using Light/Med with Sak/Havoc on flying maps?

I might as well as ask and get that one clarified too.

And may I ask the same question about apc's/buggies/humvees/choppers with Sak/Havoc? 🥺

Technically, it could do the same thing, but you'd have to be damn good shooting fliers. Plus, if it ever became a problem, it'd be a rule.

AKA we don't stop that atm.
