Took me a few minutes longer since it wasnt very detailed and I dont dig into files often. For users who may benefit:

Open wwconfig in renegades main directory.

under the video tab find render scale (default is 100%)

Set to 125% (perfect size for my TV)

There is a way to change only the player list font size, I think by changing its font only into the same font but larger.
