bad2gurlz Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Well I'd been thinking, when a GDI person gets spy he turns into sbh while NOD person turns into unattackable sbh, why not turn the NOD person into a hottie or somethin. Any thoughts do share
Volcom Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Well the SBH is invisble. That is the point of having him as spy. If the nod version was a hotwire they would be visible to the GDI team and would defeat the purpose. Even though the character is a hotwire the name still shows in red and it is attackable.
Whitedragon Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 The very first version of the Spy Crate made you invisible to base defenses but didn't turn you into an SBH. This gave Nod somewhat of an advantage since only they could get a completely invisible spy. Techs/Hotwires with the Spy Crate also were kind of overpowered since they could get in and destroy a building with little warning. Eventually it was changed to the way it is now to balance it better. 1
Mikey Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 I personally don't see a problem with the way it is now, It still requires a good timing and cunning to slip past enemies in and outside the base as stray bullets/missiles can reveal you in an instant 1
bad2gurlz Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 I don't see a problem either, was just thinking how would it look to try something different
xFastIII Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 i havent been a spy for a while, but the old spy's when u kill a building u became a sbh so the AGt/OBi could hit u, on this server you stay as a spy, did you guys make it tht way ? or is tht class'ed as a bug?
BillieJoe67 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 The message from the ssgm spy crate is something like "You will remain undetected by base defences until you damage a building"; so that isn't a bug
Mikey Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I like it the way it is tbh It's much easier to evade base defenses if you're a GDI spy, as the ob builds up power prior to shooting that can be enough time to be covered by an enemy building/vehicle etc.
ultrared Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 The best spy is getting an enemy team looking and thereafter the name color change accordingly. Would bring a lot of fun. Can complement the existing form of already existed spy.
