For those in Boston

I am sure we have players there hopefully none that were hurt by the bombings. We hope all are safe and sound, and you know playing Renegade. Hopefully this will be over soon as they already killed one of the SOB's and are close to the other one. Fucking idiots.

I read in the news one was shot dead and the other is badly wounded but escaped.

I only hope they find him and bring him to justice so he can't do anything like this again.

R.i.P to the the earthquake victims in Iran, the bomb victims in Iraq, the victims of the ongoing struggles in Syria and Palestine, The Waco victims of that plant explosion and the Boston attack victims

Fuck the American mainstream media focusing so much on homeland politics, we're all humans and brothers and sisters and nobody's life is worth more than anyone elses.

R.i.P to anyone who has died the last few days in the world

I am sorry that you don't think the incident in Boston is not that big of a deal to you.  While I appreciate your concern for the world wide situation... it is just that!  We live in America, and so do you.  You can't control what is going on in Russia or Iran.

I wonder what your thoughts were when the towers fell in NYC 12 years ago  and 2800 people died.  Maybe you were to young at the time or you weren't even here yet, but I've got to say (at the risk of sounding callous), what you say about the news coverage would be considered "world news".  If you want to be concerned about other countries, maybe you should move back to your home land and get involved there.  My concern on the other hand is for what is going on in the USA, the country of my birth.  2 people dying in our country due to foreign nationals with a green card, who happen to be from your old country of Russia, btw is a big deal!

It pisses me off that we have people who come here and refuse to assimilate into our society but expect us to honor the traditions of their country they left behind.  If they want to enjoy the full benefits of what America has to offer, learn the American way, else why come here in the first place!  The idea of coming here to destroy our way of life is reprehensible.  So whether it is 2 people or 2800 people, it is too many!

I hope someone asks them what the capital of Thailand is and smacks them in the balls. Cunts deserve it.

WTF does that have to do with this topic?  Are you even in 5th grade yet?

Do you mean the current capital of the geopolitical State of Thailand or the Religious capital of the ancient Kingdom of Siam?

I can't be bothered searching for which one I'm talking about but just know I love you.

And whichever one is Bangkok.

Joetorp, Good-One-Driver is not Russian, he's Ukrainian, that's like saying you're Canadian... Also the alleged pepetrators were Chechen, practically a different country to Russia. Also that is a really horrible thing to say about returning to his "homeland'', That was a very narrow minded comment to make Joe :/ I'm Italian and Irish and i love both my countries equally and i still agree America gets priority over other human lives in the news.

Are you really not tolerant of others?

Telling someone to essentially piss off back to their country of birth because they don't share your view is rather lame.

I guess you wouldn't understand.  I said, if your concerned, to go back to your homeland and get involved.  It means don't say if 2 lives aren't important here in America,  but the 80+ lives in Russia are important to you, maybe you should go to where you can make a difference instead of poo-pooing our measly 2 lives here in America.  Of course, you aren't from here, so I ain't expecting much understanding from you.

Too much to read but i'll put in my 2 cents.

Yes, it's sad what happened in Boston and I hope the fuckers behind it get it in their behind. Only 3 people died, but still there are 3 less innocent people on this planet who did nothing wrong other than spectating at the wrong place at the wrong time, same goes for the other 170+ people that were injured. My prayers and thoughts go out to those in Boston, I saw a video and the bombs were pretty insane, sounded like sonic booms honestly.

To those who said "derp derp only 2-3 people died more people died in Iran, who gives a shit" - yes it's true, more people died in more severe violent events and barely got a 10th of the same media attention.

There is a difference however. What happens in the Middle East doesn't affect us directly. Yes, 30 soldiers got killed - however it shouldn't come as a surprise to us shit like that happens, we're in a war and shit goes on there almost on a daily basis, at this point it's not really "news" with what goes on there.

This bombing happened on our land (for those from USA), and we didn't know if it was an act of foreign or home based terrorism. It affects us a lot more when shit like this happens on our land where we aren't supposed to expect possibly getting blown up walking down the street or in this case spectating a sport.

I never said I am un-americanised or whatever you wanna call it I support all news, American, Russian, African, Iraqian, Ukrainian, German, everything.  Joe you must of took what I said wrong, like I said it is a tragidy but there are far worse things going on, Like you just said you care for what only goes on in America and that is normal for any American to say because he is living here but they are not seeing how there are far worse things going on.

btw just saw this and brought a lot of questions into my mind:

Italy, Sorry, I missed your post when I replied to Jam, so I will say read what I replied to Jam's post.  I did not say go back to your homeland as in, get the hell out of America!  I said if you are concerned about what is going on in your homeland, you should go there and get involved.  If you think that is narrow-minded, so be it.  I am also Italian, but as an American, my allegiance is here.

Driver, I couldn't care less about what news is important to you, as your priorities might be different than mine.  I never implied you weren't assimilated into our society, afaik you speak good English, go to college, work your ass off and seem like a fine young man.

He never poo-pooed anything, all he said was there is worse things happening in the rest of the world. Not that the two lives aren't important, The lack of understanding is more on your part.

I do understand that there are worse things in the world that happen everyday, I am saying that this topic is about what happened in the USA, where I live and you don't!  So your perspective is from an outsider.  Things that happen in the UK, while newsworthy, doesn't really apply to me, as I am an outsider to the UK and doesn't affect my life personally.

That is where our perspectives differ then, because 9/11 affected me as a much as 7/7 did. If you go round only worrying about what happens on your own doorstep then you are in for trouble, as someone else's problem can easily blow up to be lots of peoples problems aswell as yours.

What should be concerning is the identity of the bombers, chechen born. Why would Chechen born people bomb the USA? It's Russia that is suppressing them..

Personally Jam, you and I really can't control who comes and goes in our respective countries, that is what we have our gov'ts for.  It is their responsibilities to keep us safe.

Chechen's are Muslims (at least I think they are).  Who knows why an American (Anwar al-Awlaki ) chose to take up arms against the country of his birth, I sure don't.  So it doesn't surprise me that people from Chechen might consider it.  After all, they lived here in America.

Pretty sure this topic was to show respect for the Boston victims, not for who deserves attention more.

To Echo what Manuel has just said, Suspect #2 caught and I hope it's a piece of mind for those involved!

The mass coverage was to help catch the people responsible.

Imagine if they didn't have all the coverage, that guy who found him in his boat may have thought he was homeless and hurt, and could've tried to help the guy, and possibly gotten himself and his whole family killed trying to be a good samaritan.

All I am going to comment on in this topic is it was a terrible tragedy and it shouldn't have happened. I am glad the ones responsible have been either captured or are now dead. To any one this affected directly you have my condolences.
