D4rkz knew and decided to change the map, and he did ask if field was ok for people. I understand what you are saying and that u got bored of the map, but please DON'T bring me into this. It's NOT like whole server said no, he did it and I didn't do anything in this case... If people had started complaining after, I would have obviously done something. 1

Field 3,5 hour - Field - Under, that situation, is imo not something that's good for the server. (Not to mention the other times something similiar like this happened.) But hey, who am I? In the end, it's the staff that makes the decision.

As most things go here, majority rules does it not? Excellent point Mikey, Excellent, but totally wrong. As members of staff it is our responsibility to maintain fair play at all times. It is the responsibility of the staff ingame to do this and that may not always be what the majority want. Gumby

Gumby I don't see how it's wrong Gumby, I guess we are on different wavelengths I would see it as fair to give the players what they want after all it's why the server is alive now is it not. Not to disrespect your opinion, but this is how I see it. I would deem it unfair to the players to change the map to something other than they are asking. As Jquo has said, I guess this is the admins decision or however the system is going to sort it out.

People got disconnected do to an issue with the anti-cheat and that map. And for the record I hand picked that map to be on this server. Blacky and the RxD team made it years ago and it was one of RxD's most popular maps. It also has "pimped weapons" which no other server has. So like it or not that map is staying once the anti-cheat problem is fixed. Instead of saying the map is shit why don't you actually play it and see all the upgraded weapons and features of the map.

The downside to snm is it skips the map that should've played and makes the !rotation(brenbot) look screwballed. The first thing I asked when I was pm'd this was if the majority of the players agreed, I was told yes.

Mikey, By that logic we should put up a 'What's your favourite Map poll' and then run Field or Glacier_Flying 24/7. The point here is the 'rule of law'. What's fair is fair and what's unfair is unfair. You wouldn't accept moderators allowing their friends to run RGH would you? You wouldn't accept moderators allowing players to place beacons in places they can't be disarmed would you? You wouldn't accept moderators allowing other moderators to keep resetting the map to their personal favourite map would you? Would you? It has nothing to do with what the majority want. It's about what is right and fair. What should have happened, if the map was broken, is that the next map in the rotation was set. That is the responsibility of the moderators. On a side note: 1) I have never played Arctic and can't wait to try it. 2) Isn't it great to see people getting involved in a heated forum debate. It messes with the bot if you set next map and I am sure there were people that didn't want Field again after 3 and a half hours of playing it. Obviously at least one person was pissed. Now then sonny, can we at least agree to use the Gaffer Tape and Cable Ties to get dronez into the back of your motor. P4iNOx Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 honestly i think some would. its not only d4rkz who loves to play field on here...they might have left if it was volcano or something else but ofc they wouldnt have come up here to make a thread about it, thats for sure. as i said before i wouldnt complain too much about it, the server had still 24 players at the end of the map so i think it wasnt too bad... 1
