C&C_Land

Has anyone ever played C&C_Land.mix?  This is one of the best maps of all time in my opinion. It is the First map made ever for Renegade, it was made by Aircraftkiller. There is just one slight problem with it. One of the buildings on Nod (i think the Airstrip) the MCT is broken. (not working, doesnt show up.) So the heart of one of the buildings on Nod is broken but if it was fixed, this would be one solid rushing map (no base defenses). The map is the one used in the tutorial that you go through in single player, just with the nod base on the other side of it. It is very straight forward, but this is definately a lost classic that needs fixed and readded to Renegade.

My favorite are maps are maps like Canyon, Volcano, Complex, Mesa, and Land, I have played it on 2vs2 before, as I have a working-fixed version of it, but i don't know for sure it if was done right. I do know that some of the doors on nod base on the my fixed copy look a little different.  I can't remember who it was that fixed it for me. It might have be blazedragoon, but it has been so long i can't remember.

btw the size of the fixed version i have is 2.4 mb

vs the original which is 4.2 mb  (unzipped sizes)

please guys, check it out and lets discuss what people think about this lost classic renegade map. :)

Looks like it is a modified version of the tutorial map, using some textures from under. Also weird there is no tunnels.

Sorry about the link. I fixed it in my post. I don't know how it got messed up like that though. but anyways...

 

yeah i see what it is in this version now the Airstrip building is not finished. The airstrip itself can be repaired, but not the building part and the MCT is there, as in you can see it but they didnt do the stuff to actually activate it. Whatever stuff you have to do to it to become functioning and interactatable.

 

no your right, there are no tunnels, which helps you focus on the battle at hand, but in the middle area where the harvesters are there is a small bridge over the ravine which infantry can go to/from. (infantry can go through the bottom of the ravine on the ground or take the bridge up top. a sniper could sit up there. I guess maybe not the best map. but i kinda like it. It is a map where you have to focus just rushing and tank battling it out on. I still like it though,

 

Just checked the version that i have and the airstrip is fixed. only thing i noticed on the fixed version is that the door to the airstrip and the rear door of the hand are a bit different. they are kinda colored. and the two doors to the PP are like this also. but at least it is playable like this even if the doors are not the same.

I'm thankful to blazedragoon, He is the one who fixed it for me. I'm pretty sure of that. I don't know if that is the same person as whitedragon, but idk. Thank you who ever it was that fixed it for me! =D

 

Anyone know how to fix the doors and make them look just normal again? If so this map would be fixed completely.

ah yeah your right, there is no tunnels in this one. But there is a ravine in the middle that goes from one harvester area to the other and a small bridge that goes over it.

 

yeah i didn't check out that map. Here is what is wrong with the original verision of it. you can repair the airstrip only on the landing strip part. The building part to the Airstrip was never boxed and finished. (whatever they have to do it to make it interactable - for damage and repairs) So that is why you can use that one in it current form. But the verison that I upload and that was fixed for me (I'm pretty sure it was blazedragoon that fixed it for me, Thank you blaze! ) at least that was his name back in the day,  is this the same person as Whitedragon, i wonder? but anways in the fixed one the airstrip is working and fuctional the only minor thing i see wrong is the color of a few doors is a little different. both Nod and gdi's base doors.

 

Thanks for looking at the map and checking it out. :)  It is a neat map though and i would love to see someone do something with it for old time sake.

If i ever see it up on a sever, you know that i will be there. 

 

(sorry about this post and one before it being very similar, When i went to post it soemthing messed up,

so i thought it got erased and so redid it and then it posted this one but then it was there after all, lol)

yeah it is definately not bad, I think people would enjoying playing it.

I will say this about it though, it is a very straight forward map that makes you focus on rushing and teamplay to win. :)
