Evo Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 So recently I've been looking into purchasing my own home server, but the problem is that most of them are formatted to serve as NAS, Cloud or backup servers and come with 1/2gb of ram, I wanted to run game servers on them and looked to my RPi and found this was wondering, is that only good for cluster computing or could I possibly hook up 6 RPi's and use them as one server as each only costs 35$ and has the 512mb of ram.Is this feasible?Could it serve as a rack server?
Tiny Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 No it can't be done and your Home internet connection would'nt be able to handle it as I have seen you lag out plenty of times so there is no point your just best of Renting off us we provide VPS hosting at reasonable prices PM me for more info 2
Evo Posted December 2, 2013 Author Posted December 2, 2013 Meh, fine, could a bunch of those devices hooked up to an SSD serve as a computer? 1
