CerealKlr Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 So I got Nvidia 3d Vision 2 kit. My problem is the reticle is now at the wrong depth and wont aim properly. I've looked for a 3d version, but I dont think it exists. Nvidia builds reticles into the software, but they dont work with the free targeting. Can someone build a reticle that is the proper depth and works with free targeting? or at least one that is very translucent, so I can use the nvidia one, over the top of it.
vlatkozelka Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 what u are asking for is kinda impossible i think , cuz when ur playing in 3D , what u are aiming at decides where the reticle should be ... the only way to overcome this is to close one eye when targeting wich you would do in real life since that is in 3D , or i think there might be another aim (eagle sight i think is its name ) .. but to make that work with free aim ... impossibru :/
CerealKlr Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Is there a command to change the transparency of the HUD?
CerealKlr Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Yes, it is for Renegade. I have found an invisible reticle, but I would like an entirely translucent HUD. The invisible reticle solves most of the aiming problem, (still can't use free targeting). The way it plays now, All the HUD jumps off the screen and you have to look past that to see the field, its very distracting being BRIGHT RED and NEON Green, your eyes naturally want to focus on them, which blurs the gamefield, in the background. If it was more translucent, I don't think it would be a problem.

I'd recommend Mass Effect in 3D as its the only FPS game i played that worked well in 3D , mostly 3rd person games look good in 3d too but ren .. just dont bother , and as i said earlier , if u really like it in 3d , u can close an eye when u aim
CerealKlr Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Ya the eye thing dont work. Its off to the right on one eye and to the left on the other. Renegade actually looks the best of the games Ive tried so far.....lil army figures driving lil toy tanks inside of a diarama under thick glass, is the best way I can describe it. Building chunks seem to fly out at you. The lil dot in the standard reticle seems to still be accurate when free aiming...at least its close enough to use in game. Using the nvidia reticle on top of the standard will work, if I can just make the HUD a lil more see-through, so I dont go blind trying to focus on 2 things at once.
