Since the start of RenCorner i've always been looking for ways to improve our server. Quality as well as quantity has always been on my mind, so i've been always trying to please everyone.

I'm at crossroads right now..

Take a look at the poll. Pick an answer solely based on your own personal opinion and experience in our server. It pretty much dictates where we go on from here..

Question 1 says go with xpert, question 3 say try to convince xpert to code for us, I think you need to rephrase the question. From what I read, I thought xpert wasn't going to participate and reopened his marathon server.

my opinion is dont fix what is not broken ...

server started and got players and a base . players liked what was there from the start and keep comeing back .

I have no problem with xpert and his mod but have seen it been blame for constant crashes and lag ect .I like the idea but not sure it works

one thing I have seen is to many constant changes will put players off along with resets of stats and other changes each time they join .

stay true to how things was at start and only small changes over time .

servers like ***** have lasted and had good fan base as they never realy change much and things are the same .

It hasnt been the blame of many crashes, so w/e u said goes right out the window for me, go back to renforums.

I believe Xpert had a good thing going helping you guys outwith the server, and yeah some things may go differently but who has been around hosting and modding like Xpert has? Not many of you people nor I. I think you should have Xpert come do his work since its good work and continue on with that.

I personally think the vet system causes people to go out and kill to get the vet points, and leave the lesser duties (like repairing the buildings or tanks) to others.

I loathe being able to buy shit when the appropriate building is destroyed. If the goal in marathon is to destroy the buildings to win, and team (a) got team ( on the ropes, why the fuck would you want to allow team ( to have vehicles and weapons when team (a) spent so much time trying to destroy the buildings to prevent team ( from mounting a legitimate attack on them?

I think a lot of people have made their minds that they don't want anything to do with Xpert or his mod. Can't say if that's because people have personal problems and whatnot, but whatever.

People have seemed to like what our server was before more than anything, and if people want us to continue going down that direction, i'm all for it.

Vet doesnt only make your character stronger or more commands, it also gives your vech more health overall. And RC players tend to be more on the infantry side i've noticed, more infantry than vehicles.

the best vet system I ever seen was campas back in old ...renegade comunity server... I believe that campa's mod was the original and first and worked great some say xperts is a copy or based on that mod . I have no idea if this is so but they are alike in many ways .

they also had the ranked thing where the more you play and the better you play the higher rank you was and people would play 24/7 to hold or reach rank #1 out of 1200 ect

Xpert is just as bad from another direction, back when discussion was underway of bringing Xpert and his Mod in here, what little of that actually was public, the general idea was that Xpert would run and maintain his Mod/Bot whatever the hell you wanna call it for us and on-top of that he would add or subtract what we needed him to according to what was wanted or needed.

Needless to say, Xpert did very little of what his "described" job was, instead, aside from what Shaitan has already made evident, blatantly ignored or made excuses when he was asked to add requested content to his Mod/Bot, thus defeating the purpose of him being here to begin with, I don't know about others here, but if you have someone come in to preform a service for you, whatever that service may be, you tell them what you want done, if they refuse to do so, make excuses, or whatever else, then that person can go away and someone else can be brought in.

In the end, we can do just as well without Xpert, I believe Xpert coming here was a mistake to begin with, I believe the decision for such was made unfairly and kept from the public who we ultimately serve with this server and community, after all, with no players, there is no community, no different then business, no different from when you bring someone in to preform a service.

In summery, as I believe MDK cited, we do not need to fix something which was never broken, and I believe in total, if we have accomplished anything by bringing Xpert here, we have given ourselves a great deal of headache, heartache, tension and strife, my vote is we stick with BrenBot and what we had, for the rest of you, vote how you will, and regardless of what happens here, I hope now and in the future, RenCorner will be more open to the idea of having the public be involved in processes like these, so the majority is never again denied knowing whats going on in a community and server they help make strong.

In my opinion, every server should have his unique ways of modifications and ingame stuff. I voted for #2. We really don't need to become a Jelly 2 or Atomix 2. Just let RenCorner go its own way. That's what makes RC so sexy for me.

yeah the sounds are uner anoying and abused by the game spoiling types . they can mask or hide the sound of veh and becons and for late night play some of us have to turn volume right down .

agree also with the engis ect spawn with shotgun..the amount of times I hop out of mrl on 1 hp to rep and end up shoot it myself is endless .

Sounds are already limited. You can only use one sound per 5-7 seconds. It's fine as it is now tbh.

They should be optional, when you have a server with 40 ppl in it that's still a lot of taunts. Especially when you get a big chain of ppl typing "yell" or a group of people who taunt *every time* they kill - it's pretty fucking obnoxious.

It's embarassing to play with the sound up sometimes cause it just sounds so retarded, and in the end playing with no sound makes me leave.

Also some of the sounds are game specific (boink2 etc.) which is really not how the game was intended to be.
