theilsomers Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I've been wanting to play dnd again for the longest time but with a family and lack of friends and busy schedules haven't really had the time. So I'm reaching out to my fellow rencorner family who here likes dnd and would be willing to try out a team speak set up since we can't really meet up face to face and things like fantasy grounds and roll20 cost lots of money, and I don't have a webcam. We would need someone to be gm/dm as I've never done it and I'm not all too familiar with everything dnd (I have the needed 3.5 edition hard copy books that a friend gave me and die of my own.) And I know being over team speak would be tough since you can't see the players roll of the die so everyone from gm to players will have to be extremely truthful so we all have fun. I also know of way for people to get the books they need and the character sheets just need people interested in it even if its just for one night a week for a few hours 1

Occassius Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Maybe something like TS, but you can post pictures? Anything like that?
Occassius Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I actually like being a player also, so if we can find another person to DM, I'd be more than happy to be a player!
BillieJoe67 Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Not really my thing but you could take a look at this to solve the dice problem (or something similar)
theilsomers Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 So right now its honeybadger and occassius and myself, I know there has to be more people out there.
theilsomers Posted August 22, 2015 Author Posted August 22, 2015 Not really my thing but you could take a look at this to solve the dice problem (or something similar) That is and option for the dice itself but not for the actual game because its expensive in the long run if your doing a campaign you make yourself cause it limits you to how much you can upload to the site unless your paying a ton of money.
Occassius Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Ive got books! I've got the 1st to 4th Edition books on CD... I prefer 2nd Edition AD&D... Less rules to worry about, and most rules I ignore anyways to make it more fun...

SovietWolf Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I know I have my pewter dice set laying around some where! And thats not nerdy, that is beautiful! And the way I see it if we find someone willing to GM and a time that works for everyone and so on, I would be willing to help cover costs of a Roll20 account or something like that.
theilsomers Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 I've really only played 3.5 so I don't know the other editions
H0n3ybadg3r Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I don't have any of the books....I should get some books.
theilsomers Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 So we got me honeybadger occassius and sovietwolf I think now just someone that can be gm and we have a decent team to try this out. And I don't think very many people are either looking at this post or are interested in dnd so we man not too many more
