Volcom Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Bastards. Everyone trying to get one up on me. 2
theilsomers Posted August 26, 2015 Author Posted August 26, 2015 So back to the topic on hand we are still looking for a gm who is interested in playing
Occassius Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Sorry.... My bad... And actually I wasn't even thinking about Posts, just thoughts as they came up... It's never intentional... Just my OCD going off....
Occassius Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 (edited) I can GM also, so how about we rotate every adventure? Each one of us becomes GM and is responsible for the adventures I have a full set of DnD dice... Yes, I am a nerd... lol I've carried these dice for MANY years and through MANY states... I am the Nerd incarnate... lol Edited August 27, 2015 by Occassius
Occassius Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Then who goes first as gm? I guess I can, just need a few days to put an adventure together, BUT did we decide on Sundays or what?
H0n3ybadg3r Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 How are we going to even do this? Are we all going to have a pair of dice? Are we going to be on skype or something? Are we going to have like a map or something?
theilsomers Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 Well I know first off we can just use ts cause I don't have a cam for Skype and idk how else we can do the dice rolls unless some one wants to buy the large subscription to roll20 or fantasy grounds or something like that. That's why I said we can just be on ts and everyone would have to be completely honest with their rolls (if you don't have dice there are dice apps out there.) We also need to determine what edition are we playing. and i think after we get the details of what edition and how we are going to do this then we will determine a date and time
theilsomers Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 I can GM also, so how about we rotate every adventure? Each one of us becomes GM and is responsible for the adventures I've never been gm so idk what all I would need to do to make an adventure that would actually be interesting but it also depends on how long each adventure is
H0n3ybadg3r Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 We could all make an adventure, Then whoever has the best one wins? wins as in they're the gm and we use their adventure.
Occassius Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) We could all make an adventure, Then whoever has the best one wins? wins as in they're the gm and we use their adventure. I was thinking earlier that we all start making adventures at the same time, and whoever gets their adventure complete first is DM, then so on and so forth As for the Dice, I have a complete set of DnD dice, so we can go on the Honor system of the DM to roll for the character, OR maybe for players that only have d6 dice, we adjust the rolls accordingly? As for Playing, we all need to be on TeamSpeak and all of us have Mics, otherwise it's useless for DnD. OK, so I think I got the base needs now: 1. We all start creating an adventure, and whoever completes one becomes DM 2. TeamSpeak with a Mic is MANDATORY (It's really no fun having a player(s) have to type in TS to tell their actions) 3. Certain dice values will be changed accordind to the available dice of players (i.e. A player only has d6 dice) Sound good? Give me your input on it... Has DnD ever been played like this? lol Edited August 28, 2015 by Occassius
H0n3ybadg3r Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 https://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm for rolling dice.
theilsomers Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 I won't be gm then cause idk the first thing of setting up a campaign so that's between you guys. I have a full set of my own die. And what edition we going with so I can get a copy of the books and char sheets
Occassius Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I would be playing 2nd Edition rules, but I use the books as 'Guidelines'... so some stupid crap can be ignored, focusing on the gameplay rather than numbers to slow the gameplay down. I've never played 3rd edition, because they started focusing on so many rulebooks to get you to buy them, and the game became more confusing the more books they put out. 2nd Edition AD&D is the best to play with...
revdarkangel Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 i would love to play but i never played DnD befor so i'm like 100% new.
Occassius Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 i would love to play but i never played DnD befor so i'm like 100% new. Any players are welcome! Just use your imagination while in the game...
Occassius Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I generally like 3.5 2.0 is the best rules to play with because 3+ gets stupid in rules just to get peeps to buy the books, and I don't bog down the game with these stupid rules

Occassius Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 How about a Minecraft adventure? I think it would be fun for the DM to toss you a random adventure...
Occassius Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I think it would be fun for the DM to toss you a random adventure... Maybe a map with 4 players, AND we have NO idea what is going on?
theilsomers Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 Do what ever kind of adventure you want to do occ your the gm if you can figure a way to make a dnd minecrafters adventure entertaining and fun more power to ya
