RC TF2 EVENT 5th September

Rencorner Team Fortress 2 Event Saturday 5th September.

 

The general idea is to get as many Rencorner members to come and play TF2 on the Rencorner TF2 server as possible.

 

It's just going to be an informal afternoon/evening of games on a nice basic map rotation to populate the server and have some fun playing the game.

 

It would be nice if, as well as Rencorner members who do play the game, anyone who has the game but does not play it, has not played for a while, and especially those who have never played it before come along and try it out.

 

For anyone who doesn't know, Team Fortress 2 is a class based FPS with an RTS element. Like Renegade it becomes much more fun with teamwork if players work together to achieve objectives.

 

Anyone who is interested in this, just post here. Anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

Well we were thinking of starting at around 7 p.m. UK, 2 p.m. EST and just playing until people had enough.

 

There is no set format, it will just be on an informal basis.

 

Drop in, play as many games as you want, leave when you've had enough.

I read through all the posts and I don't think is mentioned, Team Fortress 2 is FREE TO PLAY on steam, all you need to do is download it.  It also runs on source engine from like 2003 or whatever so most PCs and laptops from the past 5 years should have no issue running it.

Ice, for the maps, can you set the server to run:

 

CTF: 2Fort

 

PLR: Hightower

 

CP: Foundry

 

KOTH: Viaduct

 

PL: Hoodoo

 

PL: Frontier

 

Any order to suit you, unless you've got a better suggestion of course. I've tried to pick easy to understand maps for each mode.
