The entire "field" is so easily dominated by snipers which then go ahead and basically camp spawnpoints from a safe distance until finally a 'daring' hotwire/techie sneaks in and takes out a building. Also, pimp mines are generally found within 15 minutes of the game which are then massively placed in the tunnel entrance, completely taking out any chance of sneaking in through the tunnel, which is a very important aspect in this map. This map basically is: the team with the most snipers win. Which is fun for the snipers but pain and agony for all the others that aren't as skilled in sniping as they need to be to compete, like me. Sadly i cannot give a suggestion on what map it should be replaced with, because i'm not very familar with infantry-only maps. But if it's going to be a non-sniper map, I'd say replace it with a map where all non-snipers do have a chance to have a positive impact in the game. Maybe Glacier_flying without vehicles and advanced base defences, but Turrets/Guard Towers have double health? It could be a very interesting idea. 1

Learonys Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I had another game of Sand yesterday. we destroyed the Refinery with an early SBH rush (so it HAS been re-implemented!), but GDI had enough time to earn some credits and hold nod off, until they found 2 Pimp rocketlaunchers, Pimp mines, and more. Then, i found out the hard way that the mine limit has been increased from 20 (or was it 30?) to 50. What. The. Hell. 1 pimp rocketlauncher camped the nod tunnel entrance with a lot of repairs on his side, which then gave another Hotwire a chance to place pimp mines next to our tunnel entrance. Like 20-30 were placed on the front of the GDI base and another ~10 on the GDI tunnel entrance. a second pimp rocket launcher camped the middle of the field, allowing GDI to massively whore us with gunners. the last part is perfectly fine imo, but holy crap, the combination of pimp weapons GDI managed to get absolutely destroyed us, which otherwise most likely would not have happened. I agree with YKZ here. Snipers are too powerful in this map...

Oh,ok, i heard that before but wasnt sure thats its totally broken, i let the vote open till Saturday. What we can agree by now is that we need to change something on the Map itself, lets see how the vote end and decide from there.
