need help; video/text problem

I installed C&C Renegade on my laptop. It's a Laptop with 3K display. It doesn't matter if i set the resolution of 1440x900 or 2880x1620... the video-quality is changing.

But my problem is, nevertheless I change settings, resolution, etc. -> Always all written information is unbelievable big. This problem starts in the menu (wich need 80% of the display for text), the server list wich cannot show a server in one line (text information is such big that each entry in the server list need 2 lines) and it ends in game. There is the problem that the nickname of players such big i cannot see there health status, my chat letters also very big...

I am using Windows 10. If I change the scaling from 150% to 100% it changes nothing, so I dont expect a relation to this problem.

Please help if you have any idea....

Thanks in advance!

P.S.: Other thing is, I cannot make a screenshot in renegade with the PRINT button... so this is sadly without screenshot (I dont know why it not work in renegade)

Moved.  Are you changing the resolution in renegade config?  if not go to the renegade folder and look for wwconfig.exe

Yes, i nearly tried each resolution... only the quality changes, not the letter size. I really have no idea why this happens.

FYI... I found a file in the renegade directory which is named "stylemgr.ini". In this file I was able to define the font size for the menu. But sadly it don't thake effect to in-game...
Still got no solution for my probelm.

Now I found a solution for my problem.

1. I only use "integraded video chipset", Nvidia I cannot use

2. Windows need the same (exactly the same) resolution as defined in wwconfig when I start the game

3. Compability mode: scale for high dpi-value must be aktivated

I dont know why, but this works for me!

If you have an integrated video, and you have a video card, you can disable the integrated video.

You mean at BIOS/UEFI? Sadly not. I only can choose the appications which should run with nvidia. but if i use nvidia, font size is big.

Anyway, problem is solved now.

Try removing your video card!
