IRC questions, basic help, etc.

Hi, I've installed mIRC for rencorner but I'm a stark raving amateur and can't even tell if its working.  Can anyone give me some basic starup info or point to a good place to get information ion how to use it.  I've also paced the dronez4's script http://hawkee.com/snippet/10057/ into my configuration butI'm not certin if I should overwrite or append the existing file.  I'm really in the dark when it comes to using IRC, unfortunately so any advice ill be appreciated.... Thanks, I seem to have mIRC working now, just need to figure out which channels to carry and how to make them stick so they come up automatially when mIRC is started.  I think I'll run it permenantly on one of my VMs once I have it situated.  Advice is appreciated...

You obviously didn't read the tutorial Shai spent time making.  I suggest you look at it since it has Screenshots.

No I didn't read that one. Here are the channels that I have so far, does this pretty much cover it?

#rc-mods PASSWORD <- that second is the password, place it like that.

Thanks fuzzy, I thought the admin channel was for admins and sr mods.
