XpZFuzzy Posted May 31 Posted May 31 So, this is my 3rd time being banned for a "suspicious nick detected by antirandom!" from mIRC I am starting to take this as a sign to stop using mIRCĀ I have contacted Manuel yesterday about this and he has fixed it. Plus, Shai last year.
ArcticPrism Posted May 31 Posted May 31 (edited) Do you have auto auth setup? I noticed this can happen if you frequently disconnect without auto auth setup. It will try to rejoin as a random name because the auth request times out if it tries to rejoin while you are afk or something. Edited May 31 by ArcticPrism

Developer ExEric3 Posted June 1 Developer Posted June 1 If you have still issues try change address to irc.rencorner.net.co
XpZFuzzy Posted June 1 Author Posted June 1 Address has been irc.rencorner.net.co since the network merge I believe I have the paid version of mIRC Kinda curious if the auto auth is the same as auto identify or something else? xD If I close mIRC, will i get banned again? =D
Developer ExEric3 Posted June 2 Developer Posted June 2 irc.rencorner.net.co I registered for dev and testing purposes which is running on my infra actually. And since I havent access to manage domain or will not ask shaitan with every change I decided do that over my own registered domain. Basicly every server in our infra have own ircd server and they are linked together. About ident or auth depends about which part u ask. You can also preauth before connection is established.
shaitan Posted June 2 Posted June 2 https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/SASL Down at the bottom is for mIRC, never used it myself, but Eric's right. It does afford a few more protections(and using SASL we can whitelist your nick in this way, instead of IP/etc).
