Banned by BOPM for open proxy found.

This is for all the users who are getting banned when connecting to the IRC server for the reason Open proxy detected. Here I will give a step by step guide on how to remove your IP that is blacklisted.

 

You should see a message like this on your IRC window with this message. Z:Line *@Your.IP.Address.* (set at Wed Jun 26 00:20:22 2013 - reason: DNSBL listed. Check ircnet.com/cgi-bin/bl.cgi?ip=Your.IP.Address.* for removal.) If you get this follow these 3 simple steps to get it removed.

 

Step 1: Go to this website. http://cbl.abuseat.org/lookup.cgi and type your IP in the box provided.

 

Step 2: Take a good read and what it says and do a full virus scan of your PC to make sure you are clean

 

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom and it will say Click on this link to delist Your.IP.Address.*

 

Step 4: Then wait and do the search on your IP again and it should have been removed from the blacklist's.
