Butterfly Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I have searched the forums (and mirc) and cannot find 1. how to have it timestamped and 2. how to ensure it's logging everything Please help? thanks
masscarriers Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I'm not using mIRC (I use Nettalk6) but I believe it's similar. The easiest way would be to copy the line using right-click as opposed to using ctrl-c. You'll see the option to Copy with time there. If you can't do that, you can open the log using either the /showlog *channel* command or by right-clicking on the channel tab and opening the log in plain text. Timestamps will be provided then. By default it should be logging, but there's a limit to how much you can log though and you can edit this limit in your options. The downside with my IRC client is that the max log size is pretty small ( I can usually log only around 8 hours of intense gameplay when all my channels are open, or more there's not a lot of players). It's a lot nicer looking however and if I've got to log something important I'll just save the log text myself. So as I said maybe it's different with mIRC, if so then maybe someone else can help you if this doesn't :/
Manuel857 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Go to options -------> IRC ---------> Messages ---------> Check mark "Timestamp events" and inside that box put : [HH:nn:ss]

Joetorp Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Butterfly, this is what I have posted in our mod forum (add day month). Options>Messages, make sure enable timestamp is checked, then use this format [HH:mm:ss * mmm:dd] , then go to Options>Logging and change the format to the same as you did in the Messages. Adding the seconds and date will make it easier to understand the logs you post when you post them, also if you have continuous logs, you will be able to spot a date if you are searching for an event. 1
